Monday Morning Ramblings

• One of the best days ever at Compass Point yesterday.  The Holy Spirit moved, things began to click…and lives were changed.  Words cannot begin to convey how jacked up I am right now!!!
• We put out EVERY chair we had yesterday…and it looks like we will have to buy some more soon.  I love it!!!
• My wife is now Twittering…my goose is cooked!!! 
• About to make the switch over to a true Senior Management Team leadership style at Compass Point.  We can’t take the next steps without it.
• This guy and this guy were fasting last week at the Coaching Network…which really sucks the life out of the “going to dinner experience”…but is really fun when Perry’s team serves Oreo cake!!! 
• I got an email from a “discerning Christian” last week telling me…as a pastor…my Twitters were immature.  I think my reply was…”I know you are, but what am I?” 

Your Convictions Are Not My Convictions

There always seems to be a struggle within me concerning my calling…the vision of Compass Point…and the perceptions of other people.  So many times perceptions are based on personal convictions and not actual reality…that’s just human nature.  The struggle becomes - how do you tell people “your convictions are not my convictions” without offending them?  The answer…you really can’t.

The Russo Effect - Part 1

So I have been hanging out with “homeless missionary” Brandt Russo for the last couple of days. Not only was I moved by his unbridled passion and vision…but also the simplicity of his life. With that in mind I’m trying to do some simplifying of my own. I’m traveling to the coaching network with ONLY my Timbuk 2 messenger bag. No laptoip, no luggage, no bulking extra clothibg, no reams of work papers…just strictly what I need for two days. So far I’m digging it…and the load is light. However, I’ll be blogging about my total experience with “The Russo Eeftect”.
