This past Sunday I announced that Compass Point would be reading the entire New Testament together over the course of a year. Thanks to our friends at YouVersion we can set up a reading plan, create a page for posting our thoughts about the Scriptures and ask specific people to hold us accountable about reading the Bible each day.
Th reading plan that we chose is called Project 345. Through the Project 345 plan we will read one chapter of the New Testament each day for five days…with two random days off each week to catch up with any daily reading we might have missed over the week. The reason it’s called Project 345 is that it takes an average person with basic reading skills only 3 minutes and 45 seconds to read the daily Scripture passages. That’s all…3 minutes and 45 seconds. It takes you longer to order and get your breakfast at a fast food drive through!!!
The best part about Project 345 is that we have a group page on YouVersion specifically dedicated to Compass Point. Anytime one of our pastors, leaders, partners or attenders (and you) post their thoughts about the Bible readings it shows up on that page. It’s a great way to be interactive online with others at Compass Point about the Bible.
Here’s the best part…we just started Project 345 on Monday…and the past two days have been our off days. If you haven’t already signed up for a FREE YouVersion account and become involved with Project 345 you are only one chapter behind. Click here to sign up and then here to join the Compass Point group. I guarantee it will be the easiest and most fun way you’ve ever had to discover God’s plan for your life through His Word!
