A Need For Simplicity

Over the last year Compass Point has seen one of it’s most fruitful years of ministry and growth. When any organization grows there is a tendency to want to add more things…offer more opportunities…become more complex. At Compass Point we are currently feeling that tension.

One of the values that we founded this church on was simplicity. We have always tried to focus on two or three things we do well and let other things fall by the wayside. Each year the leadership of Compass Point prays over, ponders over and makes hard decisions about what to set aside…not add…in order to maintain a culture of simplicity. Right now we are in that season of decision.

Our primary goal…and God given vision…as a church is to reach those far from God with the Gospel of Christ and lead them in a growing relationship with Him. Please pray for the Compass Point pastors, staff and leadership as we take the necessary steps to simplify our structure, strategy and ministries in order to keep focused on that vision. Please also pray that Compass Point as a whole will be receptive to what ever changes that need to take place in order to make that a reality.

In the meantime…invite someone to come to church…have a great weekend…and I’ll see you this Easter Sunday at Compass Point.
