Yesterday I didn’t just talk about the power of prayer in the sermon…our volunteers put it into practice before the service even began. Each Sunday morning at around 9:30 a.m. we have a time where the Compass Point volunteers “huddle” together to share about what they see God doing at Compass Point and then pray together before heading to their team assignments. Yesterday instead of huddling…we broke up into groups of two or three people…and prayed over each row of chairs and each children’s room at Compass Point. The result…we had two people…from another religion…come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior for the first time!!! On top of that we had a packed house (had to bring in a BUNCH more chairs) and many first time guests. The power of prayer is an amazing thing! Imagine what would happen if we prayed all week for souls to come to Christ through Compass Point…instead of just on Sunday?
