For That…Celebrate

As a pastor it is easy to be competitive and jealous of another church where God is moving in a tangible way.  As a church…a body of believers…it is easy to get cynical and jaded when we see God visibly move elsewhere when He didn’t move in the service we attended on Sunday.  The realization is that God is HUGE…and His Kingdom is HUGE…and His Spirit moves in HUGE ways all over the world everyday.  The Bible tells us that where two or more people are gathered God is there also.  That means that God is moving in every worship that takes place each week…even if it is not in tangible or visible ways.  God help us if don’t celebrate people coming to Christ if it is not in our presence.

This past Sunday God moved in some very tangible ways at Compass Point.  No made a decision to accept Christ…but many people decided to attend a church for the first time and signed up to study the Bible.  Other decided to get more involved in church and talked with the pastors about what it means to be a Christian.  Seed was planted…discipleship was taking place. For that I celebrate.  A few hundred miles north of here the Holy Spirit moved at Elevation Church and NewSpring Church with over 1000 people combined coming to know Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  For that I celebrate.  A few thousand miles northwest of here a new church launched with 25 people in a town where the largest church has under 200 people attending.  In essence God moved in a HUGE way all over America this past Sunday.  For that…we all should celebrate.

For That…Celebrate
