Sunday was one of those amazing days where we saw God move in the lives of people…but also Satan try to wreck the whole thing. About 3:30 a.m. we got a text from Josh Harrison our regular drummer telling us he’d been involved in a traffic accident…broke his hand…and would not be able to play. None of our backup drummers were available so Jonathan Williams…our worship leader…decided to revamp the entire service and go acoustic. When our set up team and tech team arrived he told them the changes and they made them flawlessly. The service was great…the Holy Spirit moved…Satan didn’t win…God prevailed…and people’s lives were touched for His Kingdom.
People talk about the qualities of leadership all of the time. Characteristics like wisdom, patience, motivation, consistency and stamina are always mentioned. One characteristic that gets over looked many times is flexibility. Seldom is there an opportunity, event or program that goes exactly as planned. Something goes awry at the last minute or everything that was planned didn’t get implemented. A true leader accepts that…quickly embraces the new challenges…and remains flexible in order to get the job done. Jonathan did that Sunday. Our set up team did that Sunday. Our tech team did that Sunday. God moved….because of their flexibility.
